Air University GCPME Enlisted PME Informative Videos

Air University’s Global College of Professional Military Education (GCPME) is the U.S. Air Force’s premier provider of distance learning (DL) for enlisted and officer professional military education (PME). As part of Air Education and Training Command, the Global College delivers scalable, high‑quality PME designed to meet the evolving demands of today’s force while maximizing the flexibility and reach of distance learning.

The Enlisted Professional Military Education (EPME) Informative Videos highlight how GCPME has modernized enlisted education by intentionally “re‑blueing” curriculum content and leveraging innovative DL strategies. Developed, managed, and executed by the Global College, all enlisted PME programs are delivered in partnership with Arizona State University (ASU). This collaboration enables real‑time, accessible education for Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard enlisted Airmen, regardless of geographic location.

Guided by Department of the Air Force Instruction (DAFI) 36‑2670, Total Force Development, EPME provides critical developmental education across the enlisted career continuum. The programs are built on a deliberate scaffolding model that progressively develops Airmen’s ability to follow, lead, manage, and supervise in an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) operational environment. Through this approach, EPME strengthens critical thinking, enhances strategic and tactical planning skills, and directly increases warfighting capability.

Collectively, EPME prepares enlisted Airmen to make sound decisions in progressively demanding roles while supporting national strategic objectives. In concert with academic study and operational experience, the programs bring the practitioner‑scholar‑leader model to life within the enlisted force.

The video series provides concise, informative overviews of GCPME’s three enlisted DL programs aligned to key career milestones: Airman Leadership School (ALS) for Senior Airmen (E‑4), the Noncommissioned Officer Academy (NCOA) for Technical Sergeants (E‑6), and the Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy (SNCOA) for Master Sergeants (E‑7).
