Each May, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs launches a Mental Health Month campaign to educate Veterans and their families and supporters about mental health resources and encourage them to reach out for support. Audiences are inspired by Veterans who overcame common barriers to seeking mental health care. They learn how confronting mental health challenges rooted in the past can make way for a better present and future. By encouraging Veterans and their supporters to imagine the life-changing benefits that come with mental health treatment, the Today I Am campaign empowers Veterans to take the first step and reach out.
