Interesting Things with JC

Interesting Things with JC is a short form educational podcast that delivers true stories in under three minutes. Each episode is grounded in the Precise Storytelling Framework, a custom narrative model that focuses on factual accuracy, layered meaning, and emotional connection.



The series covers topics in history, science, culture, and the overlooked corners of everyday life. A featured episode, number 1037, tells the story of the maritime evacuation of New York City during 9/11, where over 500,000 people were rescued from Manhattan by civilian boats in under nine hours.



In the past year, the series reached 1.76 million views and listens across platforms with no paid promotion. It earned a 2024 Gold Davey Award, a 2025 Silver Vega Award, and a 2025 Gold Muse Creative Award. The podcast is currently in common carriage on the Podcast Radio Network in London and is being developed into free curriculum resources for classrooms across the United States.



The project is fully independent and self funded by host JC. It demonstrates how concise, high impact storytelling can educate and connect people at scale without relying on mainstream backing.
